instill - inner peace~outer radiance
" Each class is designed in the perfect balance of relaxation and physical stamina, but is taught in such a relaxing and therapeutic manner, you hardly realize how hard you are working. It is just unbelievable how something as gentle as yoga and tai chi practice can change your mind from constant worry to  peace and strengthen and harmonise your body.”

SIVA RAJA  YOGA

Raja means King - The King of Yogas or The Royal Path. This traditional path employs several Yogic systems based on the essence of the Samkhya Philosophy:

The YOGA path of WISDOM
  • Jnana(self-inquiry),

The YOGA path of DEVOTION
  • Bhakti(self-surrender)
  • Swara(sound of breath)
  • Kundalini(union of consciousness & awareness)
  • Hatha(harmony between body & mind)

The YOGA path of ACTION
  • Karma(selfless action)

Raja Yoga follows the life-transforming eight limb path - ASHTANGA - comprising of:
Yamas (restraints), Niyamas (observances), Asana(postures), Pranayama (control of vital force), Pratyhara (withdrawal of senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), Samadhi (integration). This holistic approach creates harmony on al levels of one's being.

Group classes/workshops combine some of the following practices:
ASANAS (yoga postures): Standing, sitting, lying, balancing and inverted postures.
RELAXATION and/or Chanting of MANTRA or sound.
PRANAYAMA(Breathwork)
MEDITATION
When the body is open and relaxed, the life-force flows through effortlessly, creating vibrant health and wellbeing. Then the conditions for meditative practice are possible to allow mind, body and spirit become one.
