SIVA RAJA YOGA
Raja means King - The King of Yogas or The Royal Path.
This system employs several Yogic systems based on the essence of the Samkhya Philosophy: Jnana, Swara, Bhakti, Kundalini, Hatha and Karma Yoga.
It follows the life-enhancing eight limb path - ASHTANGA -comprising of:
Yamas (restraints), Niyamas (observances), Asana(postures), Pranayama (control of vital force), Pratyhara (withdrawal of senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), Samadhi (integration).
Classes typically combine:
Asanas (yoga postures): Standing, sitting, laying, balancing and inverted postures.
Pranayama (breathing/control of vital force)
Meditation/Relaxation and/or Chanting of mantra or sound.
When the body is open, the life-force flows through effortlessly, creating vibrant health and inner-wellbeing. Mind, body and spirit become one.
